The New Fantations is a hip, trendy, talented group who perform interpretations of famous songs of all genres. The group consists of six members: Barbie-girl Venus Diamond, country-girl Daisy Querida, karate-kicker Magenta Salome, skater-boy Brock Logan, fashionista Gianni Ronson and last but not least, book-worm Hiram Anderson.
The group’s first encounter (bar Hiram) was in Pryzm in Kingston; Venus and Daisy, who were best friends and used to be members of The Fantations, were singing ABBA’s ‘Dancing Queen’ when they found themselves harmonising and synchronising their steps in an improvised dance with strangers Magenta, Brock and Gianni. They all drunkenly said that it would be “straight fire” (in the words of Brock) if they started a group, and here they are, a few years later, as The New Fantations.
The group has the ability to cover a large range of genres and vocal styles, as every member of the group has their own unique tone and vocal range. Although they individually have their own niche, they are still all able to collaborate and create a style that is second to none; Brock can finesse a rapping verse which is perfectly complemented with Magenta’s powerful soul vibe and vocals on a chorus, whilst Daisy’s folk-vibe and ability to yodel combines uniquely but flawlessly with Hiram’s soft warm vocals. The combination of trend-setters Venus’ and Gianni’s vocals work perfectly in harmony, making any tracks they sing together popular among their fanbase.
The group continuously record their own renditions of any new hits as they come out, from country, to pop, to soul, to rock. They look forward to their future as world renown music stars!

Venus and Daisy's journey started their music careers 9 years ago as part of The Fantations - they most notably performed Connie Stevens' 1970s track 'Tick Tock', with their version being produced by legendary Northern Soul and Take That producer Ian Levine (click the album cover to watch the music video!). Venus' and Daisy's passion for performing has remained, and they continue to thrive as members of The New Fantations.
Venus Diamond is a vivacious outgoing shopaholic, spending all her money (and her dad’s) on clothes, flashy cars, personal trainers and fashion accessories, and is always seen at the best places in town.
For Venus, being blonde (naturally) is more than a hairstyle - it's a way of life: traffic stops for her, doors are opened and the champagne corks pop when she walks into a party - she’s a real show-stopper. When she isn’t on stage, she can be found abroad with the rest of the New Fantations; in winter they’ll be skiing in St Moritz, and in summer sunbathing in Monte Carlo (where Venus of course is wearing her carefully designed strapless swimsuit which gives her a perfectly even suntan).
Her taste in boys is fantastic - they drive fast cars, are well tuned and ripped. She will get your engine revving - and if you’re too slow, she will leave you at the start line and not look back. Her uptown girl sound brings a Madonna meets Minogue vibe to the group, which is balanced with Lady Gaga originality.
Hiram Anderson was born in Michigan, USA, and was sadly orphaned at the age of 12 when his parents were killed in a traffic collision. He was adopted by his aunt and uncle, who were based in England, where he a few years later went on to earn a scholarship to study electronic engineering and music at a top university and music academy.
Hiram is a highly-intelligent sound engineer who is considered to be years ahead of his time. Being absent-minded and socially maladroit, he finds peace when digging deep into a book. He was discovered by the New Fantations when they needed to create their sound stage with various synthetic sounds and light shows - they realised his talent not long after he started the project and he was instantly offered a spot in the band.
His soft, warm voice is complementary to Gianni and Brock's, and he’s usually the male lead vocal in the group.
Gianni Ronson is a designer, promoter, and dedicated follower of the latest fashions. He is a fashion leader who transmits a particular look by first adopting it, and then communicating it to others. Large numbers of consumers who accept Gianni's taste wear his merchandise on stage and in his videos - he is a true influencer.
Openly gay, he is well balanced and at ease with himself, and in a long-term loving relationship. His passions include animals, cooking, making tea from his 101 Tea Collection, and buying antique clocks.
His music style is Chanson d'Amour, with his love tones sending shivers down the spines of both male, female and non-binary fans.
For Magenta Salome, doing something unexpected is the norm. She is known for being the dominant, independent one, always keeping things flirty and confident. She’s naughty and not afraid to be blunt, and always ready to try new things out.
She’s sporty, running marathons for fun and holds a black belt (2nd Dan) in karate - so watch out, if you step out of line she’ll have no problem kicking your ass. By day she works in a care home for dementia sufferers, and by night (like Catwoman) she could be a vigilante for all we know.
Her powerful vocals and dark soul sound is derived from her love of Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross, adding another dimension to the group.
Brock Logan is a skater boy through and through: he has the rebellious style and attitude to prove it, wearing rough and ragged-looking jeans and baggy t-shirts, and skateboarding in places where he definitely shouldn’t be. He cares little for money and has fun living on the edge breaking the occasional bone and the law.
He works in a vintage clothes store in the stockroom, but his true passion lies within graphic design. He often designs his own clothes with bright spray paint, having a particular taste for tie dye.
Brock has a secret talent he does not tell fellow boarders (it wouldn’t be cool) - the ability to rap and sing; his urban sound and high harmonies work fantastically on the group’s pop tracks.
Daisy Querida is a well-meaning, sometimes naive, country girl who loves horses and country dancing. She is a very outgoing person and can be quite feisty on occasion, holding her own when the chips are down (which can often land herself and the New Fantations members in trouble!).
Daisy is the outdoors type, who spends a large amount of time driving her horse box to a pony club venue as often as she’s grabbing an Uber to a club to party the night away. Equally, she loves spending time indoors watching her favourite film ‘A Star Is Born’, with her rottweiler Dolly (named after Parton) and her lazy cats Hank and Clint.
Her folk sound and perfect pitch brings a Karen Carpenter girl-next-door sound to the group, giving their country song interpretations another level of class.
